Reveal of a Crown?

Post by Apocalypse' on Fri Aug 30, 2013 3:04 am

The day was creeping in, people were getting ready for another joyous occasion in the pit where people will brawl for their glory, and for the appeasement of the audience, but not everyone got to see what was going on beneath the veil of it all... what went on, on the other side of the Coliseum, where slaves of fighting became nothing more then workers for their own meals, and a place to stay. Where guards are tentative, always watching for their latest escapee or for a brawl to emerge through it all in the case of some. It was these same chambers for the slaves of glory, that two guards stood solemnly together, watching the straw-made beds get some use while it wasn't their turn to shine. They were propped up against the wall, talking and laughing to themselves.

Guard One: "Hey... I can't wait for these idiots to go duke it out this week. Some of them just don't have any sense on what they are fighting for... "

Guard Two: "Don't let Sakuya hear you now! Shut up! If she ever catches wind you saying that, she is going to have your head on a post!"

Guard One: "Don't worry about it, Sakuya is gone to see if the preparations for the ring is ready for the fans. How about we go have some fun with these guys, rile them up a bit before they get out there?"

Guard Two: "I wouldn't do that if I were you... We are only suppose to be watching them, and you want to make then angrier?.. Are you NUTS?!?!"

Guard One: "Reeeeelax and don't be such a <Censor>"

Guard One, the male that was trying to aggravate the fighters was a large, bulky man. One that carried great strength as you can tell, been on the job was a while now and always trying to find ways to entertain himself. The other? A sleeker man, slender but they were both draped in the royal armor of their allegiance, and both carried Halberds for their weapons of choice. The larger man ending up putting the tip of his halberd through one of the holding cells and started to bang it against the tiered walls of the jail while the fighter was sleeping. A constant annoyance came out in a groan, pulling the groggy gladiator awake to look at the noise, then a sudden lunge for the blade he went, only for the guard to pull it away with a laugh.

Guard One: "Awwww, did I happen to wake you up?... I'm sorry! I didn't realize you were sleeping.. Hahahahah."

Guard Two: "I'm getting out of the way of this! I'm not being apart of this and when Sakuya hears about what you are doing, you are going to end up just like one of those people... with Sakuya on the other end!"

Guard One: "Fine you wimp! You can go and see if the slop is ready for these idiots."

A glare from the sleeker guard, before he walked out to check on the meal preparations for the evening, which left the muscle-bound guard to his own devices. A crooked, toothless grin on his face while he taunted the fighter some more, putting the bladed edge rather close before pulling it away once more, but it was the haunting voice of another that caught his attention.

Apocalypse: "So, this is where everyone slumbers? Such accommodations is unfitting for the true ruler of this place.... don't you think? I cannot imagine the soo called champions of this place to be happy with their current ideal sleeping arrangements so why would I have it the same way?"

Guard One: "Huh?.. Whose there??"

Apocalypse's breath could be felt on the Guard's neck, causing goosebumps to flow and the hairs to raise on end. A sharp turn by the muscle-bound man showed there.... was no one there however. Confusion set in, body moving back and forth to try and catch an eye on who was speaking.

Guard One: "SHOW YOURSELF??.. Back in your cell!"

Apocalypse: "Ahhhh... You have mistaken me as one of your own's filth and that is something you surely cannot do.... What's wrong? You can't see the shadows all around you? The darkness that is everlasting? Its alright... soon..... soon... you will see the darkness for what it truly is. You have tempted fate one time too many and I am sure everyone around will enjoy what happens to you next."

Tensions rise, as sweat started to glisten on over to the guard's face. His head was shaking back and forth, Halberd held outward to defend himself, but there was nothing, and no one around. At least, at first there wasn't... From the shadows, the guard's own shadow started to emerge a figure bath in darkness. It was coming up through the shadow, behind the guard who looked anxious. Bit by bit, the shadows would disperse revealing more from the figure, shrouded in a cloak that held his face tightly hidden. Two beaming red eyes staring straight into the back of the guard's skull, you could almost feel the twisted smile on his face.

Apocalypse: "Let the fighters, enjoy their patronach of a fight to commence... however this will be no traditional battle. It will be your screams that bring this place alight at night. Their hurrah's for more blood, will be only a taste of what they are going to get when... I rule this land. Think of it, as me letting you see the errors of your ways, and the true blessing that is the shadows to come."

Guard One: "What are yo-....AHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

A scream came forth, through his lips as the man was gripped from behind. Right arm of the figure, clutching around his neck, pulling him back to the corner where he once sat! The scream was enough, to awake most of the competitors who slammed against their bars, their cages. The noise, was enough to cause the second guard to come back into the room but by then? It was far too late, what was left for him to see caused a gasp. His face turning green, sickly color, looking on in pure horror and disbelief. A bloodied ruin of the former guard laid beyond, pale faced, eyes wide and a look of horror was staring him right back. The true signal, and sign came from the top of his head.. Pieces of the skin was carved out, and pushed upward until it was bent to stay straight, four times on his head to show a crown of sorts. The sleeker guard had to turn away, to try and avoid throwing up.

Guard Two: "Oh god... Oh god.... CAN I GET SOME HELP IN HERE???"

His shouts called upon more guards to begin to run down, them just setting their eyes on the carnage unfolded was the lasting image on everyone's mind. The cry of one guard, throwing up, heaving up his lunch was the impression sent on many, as camera's now panned back to the action.

Seems like you're going for the same angle I am. However, I'm curious. Will you be interfering with The Mark's own attempts at causing an uprising?

Apocalypse's motives are a bit higher then just a normal uprising. He's look to take over, and inevitable destroy the realm like his name suggests.

He more then likely won't interfere with Mark unless someone can convince the shadows it would be wise to capture the fly in its trap.

No need to do the colours, just leave all the text as it is by default. This way I need to copy your rp into a notepad and then move it to show. It'll slide this time, but make sure next time not to make the rp a double rainbow lol Also had to make little adjustments, hope you don't mind, but I had to rename guard one and guard two Male and Female guards, so I would have a card to use for them.

Hint: Color is added to make things easier to read. Mono-tone adds no flow, each person has a specific color to it so you know who is speaking. Don't like color in my RP's.. Don't use it then because I do it for the people who want to read, and not critique every RP I have done so far.

Lol, I'm just saying, stick to the rp format, that everyone in the fed uses. Anyone who wants to read, will read it without the damn colors. If you want to act the smart guy, you might do the smart thing and read the friggin rp rules, right here http://qbcfederation.forumotion.co.uk/t59-roleplay-rules
