Savy exits the restroom near to where he was sitting drying his hands on a bit of cloth. He doesn’t realise walking into a deserted tavern. Chairs are lying on their backs, full jugs and un-eaten food are still on the tables. Sitting back in is seat he is oblivious to his surroundings.

Savy: So where were we, ah yes you young femcat was going to tell me abou…

Savy looks towards an empty seat confused that there is no longer a beautiful femcat sitting there. Looking around the rest of the table he can see that Daytona is also no longer in his seat.

Savy: Not even a goodbye eh.

Taking a sip of his drink his eyes take in the rest of the tavern. Realising that it is deserted Savy confusingly slowly lowers his jug back to the table. Hearing some commotion outside Savy looks through the window. In front of the tavern is a small crowd circled around three figures. Savy recognises Daytona as being one of them. He does not recognise the other two.

Savy: Hmmm.

Leaving the tavern Savy walks into the bright sunlight illuminating the tavern square. He tries to hear what is going on. Savy nudges one of the onlookers.

Savy: What’s going on? Who are the fish girls?

Onlooker: They are the Siren Sisters; Adorra and Amara. The two most wanted criminals in Port Sorboa. That poor fool I don’t know, but he sold some bad horses to the sisters and they want payback.

Taking in the situation Savy watches on.

Amara: We lost out on a big payment because those horses couldn’t get us the whole way. So now the expenses will be paid by you.

Daytona: Look! I didn’t know they were sick! Honest! I had checked them that morning before selling them to you! There must be some sort of explanation for their demise? Perhaps the sea air didn’t agree with them.

Savy watches as both the sisters aggressively approach Sed. Having seen enough he steps in-between Daytona and the sisters.

Savy: Now ladies I’m sure there is some sort of way to resolve this amicably. I’m sure some wires got crossed along the way, it’s a beautiful day so let’s all enjoy it, grab some drinks and have some fun.

Daytona: Savy I can handle this. There is no need for you to get involved.

Amara: Listen to your friend boy. Your face is new to me and you don’t seem to know who we are otherwise you wouldn’t be standing in our way. So I will let you off this time, but you best be on your way otherwise you may not live long enough to see this day out.

Savy looks towards the sister’s, sighs and then smiles a cheeky smile.

Savy: See now you’re being aggressive and I don’t take kind to people threating me. It’s a condition I have, gets me into a lot of trouble, but I can’t help it it’s like an addiction.

Adorra stumbles back not expecting the blow, the crowd let out a big cheer angering the sisters. Adorra Composes herself and takes position next to her sister, This time both Adorra and Amara confront Savy.

Rocky appearing from the crowd blocks the path between the Siren sisters and his brother. Momentarily halting their attack the Siren Sisters stare towards Rocky.

Rocky: I can’t leave you alone for five minutes!

Savy: Sorry bro was sticking up for an innocent.

Rocky: Really I don’t see anyone else fighting?

Savy looks around unable to find Daytona, chuckling to himself Savy smiles a cheeky smile.

Savy: Looks like you came just in time then. How’s Megan?

Rocky: See for yourself. We were on our way to join you for a drink!

Savy looks into the crowd and sees a serious looking Cid and a worried looking Megan. Savy is happy to see her on her feet looking healthy again. He is also worrying about the mauling he’s going to get from Cid for getting involved in something he shouldn’t have.

Amara: Looks like the reason you intervened has left you to suffer the consequences. You should have left us be boy. Now you have dragged another innocent bystander into our business to suffer our wrath.

Savy: At least it’s still sunny.

Amara reacts to Savy’s cockiness with an irritated look. The sisters then lunge towards the brothers. As the brothers take a defensive stance the brands on their wrists start to glow. Time around them slows down, their bodies freezing on the spot. In front of them frozen in mid lunge are the Siren Sisters. Water drops begin to leak up from the cobblestone under their feet. Eventually the four of them are engulfed in a sphere of crystal clear water. Bursting into a shower of water they disappear. Standing in shock Cid and Megan stare at the puddle of water in front of them. Around them the crowd begin to rush back towards the Town square, Cid grabs a man’s arm.

Cid: What’s going on? What the hell just happened?

Man: It’s started, Requiem of Dreams has started!

Megan: Requiem of Dreams?... The words on the scroll! Do you know where our friends have gone?

Man: The town square! That’s where you’ll find them.

Megan and Cid follow the man and the rest of the crowd, as they reach the centre of the market square they are halted by a massive crowd. Megan tries to squeeze past people trying to get to the centre but is halted by Cid grabbing her shoulder. Looking towards Cid confused she follows his pointing finger to a huge water sphere hovering in the centre of the town square at house height. Acting like a huge projector the image in the water is of Rocky and Savy facing the Siren Sisters. They are surrounded by sand and water.

Savy: Well that was weird!

Rocky: Always running into things! Guess I should just expect it now and take it in my stride.

Savy: That’s what I’m always telling you!

Rocky looks at Savy who has an innocent smile on his face, turning his attention to their surroundings Rocky can see that they are stuck in the middle of the ocean located on a patch of swallow water that is home to a small number of sand islands. Some of them are just sand others have a small number of trees dotted around them, there is a clear blue sky above them and the sun is shining brightly. Apart from these islands there is nothing but blue ocean surrounding them.

Amara: Well this certainly is a surprising turn of events. Looks like we have been summoned, it’s been a while since we have had a good fight. I hope you don’t disappoint. Shall we?

Rocky: Wait! You know what’s happening? Tell us!

Adorra: You bare the brand do you not? Just like us.

Adorra seductively pulls the side of her skirt down revealing the top portion of her thigh. The brand on her thigh is glowing a bright dark green colour. Rocky can see that it is a similar pattern to the brand on his wrist. He looks over to Amara who tilts her head pulling down the side of her neck collar, a similar but smaller brand located on the side of her neck is glowing the same colour.

Amara: Requiem of Dreams! You have been chosen by the gods. Now all you have to do is please them and the treasures of the universe will be yours!

Rocky: What do you mean please them?

Adorra: Excite them! Show them your power! Prove to them that you are worthy and you will be elevated. No longer having to live a life of struggle, no longer having to cohere to the rules of mortals! We fight for their approval!

Rocky: How do we get out of here!

Amara: Enough talk human! Requiem of Dreams only has room for one pair of siblings.

The two sisters approach Rocky and Savy with intent. Amara facing off against Rocky, Adorra against Savy.

Savy: You take the ugly one bro and I’ll take the… not so ugly one.

Amara: Your brother has a big mouth on him.

Rocky: Yep I’m afraid he was born with it. Hasn’t shut up since!

Savy: Hey I heard that!

Adorra: Looks like I’ll be doing the world a service then silencing you little boy.

Amara skims through the shallow water and launches into the sand of one of the islands. Adorra seeing her sister in trouble rushes to her aid. Aiding her sister to her knees they both look shocked at the two men standing in front of them.

Amara: Who are you!

Rocky: No one important. Give up now and we can end this pointless confrontation!

Adorra aids her sister to her feet but is pushed away once Amara has composed herself. With a confused look Amara scans Rocky.

Amara: … Hahahaha! This is no pointless confrontation fool. This is Requiem of Dreams! You can’t just end it like that! Spilling blood is the only way to end this, ending the life of your opponent is the only way to end this. I underestimated you human! It’s been a while since I have faced an opponent that requires me to use my full strength. Adorra its time!

Both sisters stand next to each other with devious smiles on their faces. As they both close their eyes the water around them begins to ripple. Blue energy starts to illuminate around them and they begin to tremble. As the water around them begins to violently thrash around Rocky and Savy freeze at the sight they are witnessing.

Savy: You feel it to right? This is what I felt when that hooded dude energised Dravica to super beast!

Rocky: Yep I feel it too. Just stay sharp.

Amara confidently walks towards a patch of trees where Rocky had been launched to. Glancing back at her sister in control of Savy she smiles a smug smile to herself.

Amara: A valiant effort stranger but it seems you don’t have what it takes to play with monsters! I will make this quick, we have business to sort out.

Amara disappears into the patch of trees. As Adorra approaches a downed Savy she hears a loud cracking sound coming from the direction of her sister. Glancing over she cannot see anything. Smiling to herself she assumes her sister has ended her opponent.

Adorra shocked at the sight of her sister hurtling through the air freezes as she tries to figure out what has happened. Rocky appears from the patch of trees into the open, his body surrounded by a dark red energy. Looking monstrous he glares towards the motionless Amara.

Rocky: SAVY! PLAY TIME IS OVER!

Savy: Uh oh now you’re for it!

Savy gets to his feet looking a little battered with cuts and bruises on his face and body. Standing confidently facing Adorra he smiles a cheeky smile. Adorra turns her attention towards Savy knowing she has to deal with him first, angrily she makes her move. Savy relaxes his body, he closes his eyes and calms his breathing. Time stops around him as the water lightly ripples around him. The corners of Savy’s clothes began to sway like they are being blown by a gentle breeze even though there is none. His hair starts to float slowly reaching towards the clear blue sky, a gentle white glow appears around Savy.

Adorra is sent smashing through her own water wall smashing and rolling across the shallow water until she hits the sand, in pain she looks a little worried. Glancing over to her sister she can see Rocky approaching the motionless Amara. Rocky Hogan grabs Amara's head lifting her off the ground by the hair with one hand, staring into her face Rocky looks like a beast. His eyes are glowing red and he looks angry. Amara groggily opens her eyes to see Rocky, bruised and battered Amara does not fight back.

Amara screams in pain as she feels the force of Rocky’s power, turning towards her sister Adorra is intercepted by Savy who appears in front of her.

Immobilised by Adorra’s scream Savy covers his hears and falls to his knees, Rocky also falls to his knees, the screech rattling through his head. Still groggy Amara sees a chance to fight back, she leaps at Rocky biting into his neck piercing the skin. An intense feeling shoots through her body, retreating away from Rocky she still has the taste of his blood in her mouth. Pure ecstasy surges through her, healing her wounds and energising her body. Realising that her feeling of pure pleasure is from the taste of Rocky’s blood she stares at him with lust in her eyes.

Amara: UURRGGHHAAHHH!! What is this feeling! I feel alive, truly alive! What have you done to me boy! I want more, I want MORE! Sister! The blood, their blood is wondrous! Never have I felt so powerful!

Adorra looks towards Amara confused, eventually realising what she has done and seeing the effects she turns to Savy with determination. Savy still on his knees and dazed doesn’t see her coming, Adorra grabs Savy by the hair and tilts his head biting into his neck. Tasting the blood her eyes light up. Suddenly her elated look turns into worry then into pain. Releasing her bite she staggers away from Savy. Grabbing at her throat frantically Adorra looks like she is struggling to breathe, falling to her knees her face begins to turn dark blue and her lips an even darker blue, now scratching at her throat she looks in despair towards Savy. Noticing the situation of her sister Amara ignores Rocky and rushes to her sister’s side. Rocky and Savy regroup letting Amara tend her sister.

Savy: Can’t believe you got bit! Now we got to deal with a dangerous horny chick!

Rocky: Get ready you know what comes next!

Adorra now motionless, her limp body being cradled by a healthy looking Amara, tears streaming down her face Amara rests her sisters body in the shallow water. Slowly getting to her feet she turns towards the brothers with a look of pure hate.

Amara: She was my world! And you have taken her away from me!

Savy: Woah! Before you get all emotional it’s…

Amara: You will pay for my loss. I will not rest until you are both lifeless bodies under my feet!

Savy: Just wait a sec…

Rocky: She’s won’t listen. We have to end this quick!

Savy: Sigh! Tag you’re up!

Amara walks towards the brothers with a strong glowing blue light around her person. Manipulating the water around her she gives off a powerful and aggressive presence.

Rocky: Now’s not the time for jokes! As one ok!

Savy nods to Rocky and they stay on their knees until Amara gets closer.

Rocky: NOW!

Amara crashes into a tree and falls to the ground. Rocky and Savy walk towards her high fiving as they look at each other with smiles on their faces. As they get closer to Amara she jumps to her feet manipulating the water behind them pulling a battering ram shaped water towards the brothers. Sensing it Rocky and Savy dodge out of the way. The water battering ram smashes into a tree and splits it in half letting the loose part fall and lean onto the ground.

Amara’s bruised and battered body lies motionless on the smashed tree trunk. Looking around them Rocky and Savy see that both the sisters have been immobilised.

Savy: Well that was fun what now?

Rocky: Not sure. But I think we have won.

Amara suddenly comes to and leaps towards Rocky

This time Amara does not get back up. Rocky watches her for a moment then looks towards Savy, Savy shrugs his shoulders and smiles towards his brother.

Rocky: Now we have won.

Savy bursts out laughing falling into a sitting position in the shallow water. Rocky eventually joins in with the laughter and the two brothers enjoy a moment of rest. In the town square the crowd has increased tenfold, all of them are cheering the fight that has taken place in the water sphere. Megan and Cid are amongst the crowd not sure what is happening.

Megan: Is it over?

Cid: I don’t know.

Daytona: Yep it’s done. You might need this.

Appearing from behind them Daytona interrupts handing Megan an umbrella. Megan looking at the stranger confused, she looks at Cid. Cid stands protectively in front of Megan looking Daytona up and down.

Daytona: Hey calm down big guy. I’m a friend of Savy’s, just waiting here to say thank you to him. Although you may want to use this umbrella right… about… now…

The three of them turn towards the water sphere in the air as it starts to tremble and leak water onto the street. The crowd starts to cheer and raise theirs arms to towards the sky. As the cheers begin to get louder the water sphere starts to spin and whirl ending with a massive water explosion showering all in the town square. Once the make shift rain has stopped, left in the centre of the crowd are the unconscious Siren Sisters and a tired looking Rocky and Savy. The crowd cheer the young brothers as Megan, Cid, and Daytona burst through the crowd. Megan rushes towards Rocky and hugs him, Cid approaches Savy and ruffles his hair, Daytona keeps his distance for the moment.

Megan: Are you ok? We saw everything in a massive water sphere, it was magnificent and weird at the same time. I think it has something to do with the scroll we found.

Rocky: Requiem of Dreams, yeah they mentioned it to us. Some sort of tournament.

From the crowd a woman’s voice can be heard ordering about the crowd. As the crowd parts Lady Cassara appears with a number of soldiers by her side. Looking at the brothers she notices Savy, a wicked smile appears on her face, Savy shrugs his shoulders and smiles an innocent smile. Lady Cassara looks towards the unconscious Siren Sisters and can’t believe what she is seeing. Surveying the people in front of her she stands there for a moment, then with a determined voice she makes her presence known.
