Not everyone is a Winner

Daytona pets his trusty horse, Hornet. He's preparing for a new race out  on the track when he sighs.

Daytona: Maybe I'm crazy, Hornet. Fighting for the affection of a woman by challenging the first man I see in a fight?

He shimmies into the stall, and places the saddle on.

Daytona: I'd bet you'd have no trouble finding a mare, buddy. You're well-toned, powerful, and frankly the fastest thing in the universe.

The horse snorts, almost like a response to Daytona.

Daytona: Then, there's me. I have looks, sure; but power? Ha! I could barely topple over a regular guy, let alone be a threat to him.

Daytona goes still for a moment before lifting himself up onto the saddle and on top of the horse.

Daytona: I won't focus on that loss. That's only me outside of my comfort zone!

A smile goes across his face as both the horse and himself ride out of the stable and onto the track. This was his home, not the arena. Even if he were to lose the race, Daytona knows that both himself and his steed ride hard and fast for the affection of fans.

The race begins as both Daytona and his horse burst from the starting gate and take the lead, remaining in the lead as long as they can before other racers slowly begin to catch up to the tiring horse.

Daytona: C'mon, Hornet! Push it!

The finish line approaches as Daytona leans forward and then snaps back.

Daytona: ♫Do-da do-da do-do-do-do do-do-do!!!♫

With the sudden tune hitting Hornet's ears, the horse suddenly bursts forward with great speed and crosses the finish line, just edging over the other opponents. As the horse begins his deceleration, Daytona wraps his arms around the neck of Hornet and whispers in his ear.

Daytona: Good job, buddy. You did great out there.

A figure walks in front of the horse and stops it in its tracks with the immense force, the figure is The Big Hurt.

The Big Hurt: You can't win everytime, sometimes it is hard to win at all. But the ability to move on from a loss is almost nearly as important as the win, my friend.

The Big Hurt spits and wipes his face with his hand

The Big Hurt: I see something special in you Daytona, some potential. Not many people have been able to contend with the likes of me, but you did just that.

Daytona hops off of Hornet and The Big Hurt and him walk together.

The Big Hurt: This world is a mystery, and many men and women control it.

The Big Hurt turns around and looks Daytona in the eye.

The Big Hurt: But we can control it! We have the full capability to do it also. Me, you and...that thing.

TBH points to the horse who is eating grass off the side of the tracks.

The Big Hurt: And it sure doesn't hurt having a human to have your back in this scary world.

Hey guys,

Just thought of a great way to involve us all. I have just added my match rp Daytona along with the rest of my characters get arrested at the end.

What do you think about Daytona and Big Hurt together making their way into Port Sorboa but the Big Hurt has to run an errand so he leaves Daytona which is when Savy comes in and meets Daytona. Then we could have it that next week the Big Hurt bails out Daytona and then Daytona bails out the rest thus having everyone together.

And then I was planning on preparing for a jounrey to the capital; Val'era and would be happy to have you guys join us for the rest of the season if your up for it? Just an idea. What do you think?
